DETAILED DESIGN FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE BRIDGE AT NOVE BARE, E75 MOTORWAY

Design for rehabilitation of the bridge over "Nove Bare" on the state road IA category no. 1, at km 713+680.

Project description

In the course of the project, the technical documentation was prepared for the rehabilitation of the Bridge at Nove Bare near Jagodina. The total length of the structure is 84.40 m.

The main characteristics of the existing bridge were:
- The right lane of highway was complex bridge with cross section that has two different type of structure: the driving lane and fast lane were made with reinforced concrete continuous girder on the eight spans with rigid connection to piers, while the emergency lane’s structure cosisted of a series of simple pre-stressed prefabricated reinforced concrete girders with cross expansion joints.
- In the left-hand lane bridge structure was a reinforced concrete continuous girder on the eight spans with rigid connection to piers.

• ABOUT THE BRIDGE

The need for reconstruction came out from the fact that the bridge structure was extensively damaged, and thus significantly influencing traffic safety and efficient traffic management and road maintenance.
