RECONSTRUCTION OF ŠĆEPAN POLJE-PLUŽINE ROAD

MONTENEGRO

Detailed Design for road reconstruction on the road section Šćepan Polje-Plužine and Conceptual Design for the connection road between new Paklice border crossing point and the border bridge over the Tara River.

Project description

Road section between Plužine and Šćepan Polje is part of the SEETO Comprehensive Network and connects Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, continuing towards road section Sarajevo-Foča-Hum (BiH).

The specific objectives of the project are the reconstruction of the road section from the new Paklice border crossing point to the Mratinje Dam on the Piva River, near Plužine, and construction of road from the new Paklice border crossing point to the border bridge over the Tara River (excluding the bridge itself).

The selected alternatives aims to significantly increase the level of services of the road through improved situation plan and cross sections geometry, increased road safety level, significant road protection against falls during winter periods, with large deviations from the route of the existing road.
